Well, it's time once again to renew my subscription, and that got me thinking about how much I used to enjoy the forums. Lately, they have become a little less enjoyable, so I've decided to take a break for a while. I will be back in a few months or so, I think.

It seems like people just disappear every now and then, and I did not want to leave without saying so long.

I've made a lot of what I consider friends, and I do believe I will miss all of you, but it is time to move on.

Good luck and good playing to all....

Well, I don't get the fish reference, so either I'm dense or it's something from before my time (or both).

In any case, I've enjoyed your postings, so I hope you suffer PW withdrawal and come back soon.

Best of luck -- and please note: This doesn't excuse you from MYOD! wink

The reference is to the title of the fourth book in Douglas Adams trilogy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (British science fiction, very funny, and part of the joke is a trilogy consisting of four parts). If I recall correctly, shortly before the Earth is destroyed the dolphins are rescued en masse, their farewell to humanity is 'so long and thanks for all the fish'. But I may be misremembering.

That's it. The premise is that it was the dolphins that were the "real" intelligent beings on earth.

See ya later gmm1.

gmm1,

What? You are going to get a life outside of PW/ABF? Good for you! Although I haven't read as many posts in recent months, whenever I came across your posts, I always enjoyed them, and usually get a smile and even a laugh. Will miss you being around. When life without ABF gets boring, you know where we are!

gmm1--I have enjoyed your posts, and I have also used some of the techniques you've said work for you. It's always helpful to hear so many experiences.

Enjoy your piano, and come back soon.

One more and it's a double trilogy, or a sextilogy, which is not the same as sexology . . .

Well, if you're really going away for good the very least you could do is tell us what gmm stands for - we've been wondering . . .

Good luck (but see you when you get back wink )

Some people sure have a funny way of saying that the rest of us have become, a, er, how shall I say this, uninspiring or unstimulating or unmotivating or uninformative (or all of the above) lately :p

Regards, JF

My guess would be just having the odd smiley doesn't necessarily make anyone amusing.

Especially to those seemingly born without a sense-of-humor gene - although the "odd smiley" does help indicate for these humor-challenged individuals when the finer points of satire and parody are in operation - case in point: smile

Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread . . .

I'm sorry you are leaving.
I think we all go through phases like that and sometimes need a break. I hope you will check in from time to time and keep us updated on your experiences in the outside world-LOL
I really enjoy all the members here so it will be sad to see you go.
Best to you,
Kymber
