Lee, we all have far to go. And, IMO, everything is hard to play. However, if you can get someone to cry when you play, because you moved them, you have accomplished a lot and more than many. You have then transmitted through your playing an emotional statement that grasps the listener. You have that in you. And you have done that. So keep putting it into every note you play. Your fan in NW!

Hi Lee, I recognized a familiar quote in your blog. So very nice of you to have mentioned it there. BTW, I don't know why but "Improv 4" link doesn't work for me. The others were beautifully performed, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing. Key Notes

Its well worth a listen if you can get it to work yes a "familiar quote" huh? thanks again regards Lee

Very cool, Lee! And it's nice to see a classically-trained pianist acknowledge the benefits of playing by ear. It's really *not* an either-or kind of situation.

Lee, ya gotta stop plugging piano magic. I may have to join and Lord knows I do not have time for that. I will join perhaps someday when money is a little bit easier to come by, or when I get fed up with you and everyone else's tempting me and I finally give in. Great stuff, bro. Thanks for posting. Keep tickling those ivories and you will be as good as this guy before you know it. Be blessed Hisalone
Psa 33:1-3 ¶ Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Ya think God would permit 88 strings?

Hi Hisalone I will join perhaps someday when money is a little bit easier to come by, or when I get fed up with you and everyone else's tempting me and I finally give in Sheesh, I'll have to try harder (having said that? I'm thinking that a famous concert grand pianist "loving it!", will be rather hard to top? ) Lee

Hi Hisalone, I am another "everyone else" who is tempting you to join. You know, after you join, time would fly coz you'll be having so much fun. So you are right in that you won't have any time! BTW, Elssa just posted a gorgeous piece at the Piano Bar. Tempting, I know... When you can't beat "them", you've just got to join them. :t:

Now you folks are ganging up on me like you're the piano magic mafia. I feel threatened. I've decided that I will take up donations to raise enough money to join for a year. Just PM me, and I'll give you my paypal info. :p . JK. All joking aside, I do understand that Piano Magic is not a scheme or a play-great-fast-with-hardly-any-practice type of promotion. I have heard the results, and am quite impressed. I also know that when I eventually join, I will be greeted with a warm welcome from those of you I have met here. In the meantime, keep playing, and have fun. BTW, you can call me by my first name. Be blessed Joel
