I love how this group posts their pieces in recitals and shares their music together.

And I know that sometimes we get stuck in our habits of just reading one or two sections of Piano World and I wanted to bring attention to this past weekend's Maine Event Party held at KathyK's. Just sharing how Piano World has brought us together. Several of us from New England attended as well as Bernard from Brocklyn. About 23 if I counted correctly (not everyone is in the pic). And we all don't know each other before we attend...it's PW that starts these get togethers!

These parties are so much fun. Friendship, food, families, and nonstop playing.

Remember back when we were kids and had to be bribed to play for others? Not so at our parties! And the pics below will attest to that!

So check out the Forum Members Parties Tours Etc

....and a few more pics (some dups) over at the 'old piano forum coffee room' - Well Tempered Forum (most of us met each other here!)

Thanks, lilylady! It was great to see all the photos and be able to match up some face with familiar names.

Say, when you're at these parties, do you call each other by your forum names or your real names?

That is funny Monica, because so many times we get caught up calling each other with the PW name. Sometimes even more so than our real names.

But we answer to both! laugh

If we play good, we use our real name. If we play badly, we might use anybody else's name but ours!!!

I hope to see you Monica at one of these parties. So far, no one has played new world music (I hope I named that correctly) and we would all love to meet you!

To the 'JERK' who likes to give threads one star. Go play by yourself, why don't you and let the rest of us enjoy sharing music.

Looks like you all had a lot of fun, I hope I get to do some things like this in the future. (Any Florida meets coming up guys!?)

Lol @ the thought of everyone calling each other Piano World Names. *imagines* "Hey what's up Piano n00b".

And I was wondering about the 1 star thing too... What a completely lifeless loser...
