My boys want to be on the list, too. They started practicing last week, but are too young to be on the forum. I told the I would sign them up. Just put son #1 and son #2

Would you like first names, initials, or nicknames etc?

Glad to have them on board...

OK count me in, I'm back to the keyboard after 6 months of absence for a variety of reasons which pretty much boil down to laziness. I'm going to try and stck with it this time though!

Just finished posting reflection for my grad class so I have some time tonight!

The weekends are wonderful, so far nothing's intruding on those times!

I missed Wednesday due to class work. Did I read in an earlier posting that piano lessons can count? I hope so! Have lessons every Thursday so that would be a big help!

Will be able to get back today and through the weekend. Thanks!

Still in, although a few nights were close! I consider myself to be on the same day until I go to bed. Sometimes that's 2 a.m. Good thing I still have a digital piano. (I was thinking about selling it because I hardly ever play it, but apparently it's going to be getting some use this year, thanks to MOYD.)

I also do the same, especially since I work nights and tend to stay up late on my nights off...

Often times I don't sit down at the piano to practice until 9:30 or 10:00 in the evening. I'm trying to get myself back to starting earlier in the evening but it's been a challenge. I like to get in two practice sessions on each weekend day which helps to make up for any short sessions during the week.

I wish I had a digital. I can only practice between the time I get home and the time my daughters go to bed. I do sometimes go in and do some Hanon or some other exercises with the practice pedal on, but playing with the pedal on has some limitations.

Piano self teaching on and off from 2002-2008. Took piano instruction from Nov 2008- Feb 2011. Took guitar instruction Feb 2011-Jul 2013. Can't play either. Living, breathing proof some people aren't cut out to make music.

I love my grand way more than my digital, but the digital does have its uses. I'm lucky to have both.

I have a calendar dedicated to MOYD. I cross off each day as I'm finished playing. It's impressive to see the bright blue lines add up, and very motivating. With house guests from the frigid north (I'm in Florida), I didn't do much more than the minimum the past week, but at least I earned those blue lines.

MOYD is very motivating! I have a lesson book from my teacher and I record my practice sessions (amount of time and what I practice) in the book on the page opposite of my assignment for the week and write down any questions to ask my teacher at my next lesson. I also keep a list of the names of some of my favorite completed pieces in the back of the book. I feel fortunate that my teacher is very organized. It really helps to keep me on track.

I'm in, but I was out of town jan 6-17, and I have practiced every day this year other than those.
