I'm afraid 7/3 will have to wait for 3rd establishment of Mazurkathon. I have injured my right arm and won't be able to practice for some time, which makes getting this Mazurka to performance level in upcoming month an impossible task to accomplish frown I'm sad to communicate that frown

Too bad about your arm. No problem about the mazurka.

I have no idea - I have perhaps overworked myself during studying in front of my desk, resting on my elbows too much. My upperarm is tense and hurts during any stretching motions. It's nothing serious and it gets better day after day, but I'm trying not to overwork my arm during piano practice. This particular mazurka has some precise fingerwork to mantain clarity I can't manage right now. Thanks for your care!

Mateusz

I'm sure this has been asked but do we upload our piece to Box or do we send an mp3 via e-mail?

Now that I've got my 7/1 in please put me down for 7/2 for March of 10. A whole year to learn it seems just about right.

mmm... seems to be some confusion around 7.1

I've been bumped off it, for some reason confused

Anyway. no worries - I'm happy to bow out and let Peyton have it smile

Cruiser, have you prepared 7/1? Is it ready to record? If it is, please go ahead and send it in. I think the one recording for mazurka
"rule" can be suspended for a genuine misunderstanding.

...well, to be honest, I'm not really satisfied with my 7.1, having been preoccupied lately with a Beethoven Sonata and so I'm more than happy to let Peyton have 'sole rights' to this Mazurka and I look forward very much to hearing his, and everyone else's, recordings smile

Frycek:
I've been slacking off the past two recital (after living through 25/12 OCD for a year), and now I have another case with Scriabin's 8/12. So I think your mazurka push was a God-sent reminder to me that there is great joy in simple yet subtle music. I'll take 67/3 if you don't mind. Not sure if I can do it by March (I may have to get on a 2-week long business trip, and I haven't seen the scores yet), but I'll try - if not, can I still do it for the next one?

Great. I'll put you down for 67/3 (tentatively for this March)

I really needed to get on to other things (like how in the world am I going to manage recording that nocturne by October?) so I've sent 41/2 to MR already, and I'm about to send it to you, Joe. I was hoping my husband could do some engineering on it, but that's not going to happen, so I guess it has to be OK.

It's also on box.net:

Mati, I'm so sorry to hear about your arm. I wish I could treat it for you.

Crusier, I for one would love to hear yours. We can compare notes. I too was not satisfied with my final version but then... I've never been satisfied with any 'final' version of anything I've played. I just couldn't decide how fast and how lively to play it.
