So many talents here, which male can play the piano with his tool?

Who would have thought that one little post made by mistake so long ago would keep on going and going...just like the energizer bunny!

In most forums "doremi" is the rule. It's kinda nice to have recently found the Piano World forum where "it" is the exception.

Notice when you say "Duh" how your chin goes down, your mouth hangs limply, and you have this dumb look on your face. Limp and dumb supposed "joke" from a safe distance. How not entertaining at all. Poor piano!

Good to see you posting in the thread. Ultimately, it's better to hear from you any time rather than have you try to time a post to be a particular number.

If "dore-dummy" doesn't delete his childish post, I believe one of the moderators should delete it. I would certainly hate to see the forum go down the slippery slope that his type of post may start.

I hope all is going well with you and yours and that you will be ready to enter the upcoming recital.

Even if I did make the 1000 post on this thread, I would have dedicated it to you. But then again, if you think about it, this is a ridiculous thread about nothing so that may possibly discount the honor a bit!.

In any event, it's members like Monica, Listener, TX-Dennis, Betty, Rocky and others who make this nutty thread so much fun.

Occasionally, there is a parasite that rears its ugly head, but as with most pests, they soon become erradicated by the rest of the colony!!.

Monica is such a wonderful role model and always seems to be able to turn something nasty around in the blink of an eye and keep it going in a positive manner.

BTW, Listener, It was good speaking with you yesterday; thanks for the "wake-up" call!!.

I know there must be one tremendous age difference between us when you are thinking of "Tiny Tim" (alleged singer) of "Tip Toe Through the Tulips" and I'm thinking of the sickly little boy who nearly died, "Tiny Tim," from Charles Dickens', "A Christmas Carol", aka "Scrooge".

And I will not be the only one experience a "Summertime dream" (song by Gordon Lightfoot)!

I am one unhappy camper tonight. Over the course of the weekend, I videotaped an entire mini-disc of me playing various pieces because I wanted to become one of the narcissistic YouTube generation. But when I went to play the video I discovered that each and every single piece has distortion on the high/loud notes.

So now I gotta figure out how to adjust the mic level on my videocamera and do it all over again. Shucks and other comments.

One solution may be to record with your zoom and and sync it with the video.

That would be a smart solution indeed for someone who actually knew what they were doing. I still haven't figured out how to work Windows Movie Maker yet.

Didn't want to go to bed tonight without making my one-hundredth post! Goodness, I couldn't have slept. And what better place to put it? Oh, and today is August oneth, err, first :rolleyes:
