Mary, this is great news! You may still have some difficulty, for ex if she doesn't want to come home, but knowing that she is ok must make you feel so relieved! I hope everything else goes ok, hang in there!

HI Mary -

My 'baby girl' is now 38 years old. In the process of reaching this point, we have gone thru several episodes like you are experiencing.

I believe someone just said that 'parenting is not for the faint of heart' ... that's an absolute.

If you would like to PM me, there are a number of helpful resources I can put you in touch with which can help both you and your daughter. Or I would be happy to simply listen. Having been down this road, I can empathize with your thoughts and feelings.

That is fantastic news, IrishMak! The authorities can hold her for 72 hours for observation if they think she is a danger to self or others, and I suspect wandering around without having eaten for days would count as a danger to self.

Yup!

Mary, thank God they found her... and now the journey begins to get things straightened out. But at least they found her.....alive.

I guess a little prayer is always good.

New prayers to help shepherd her through this difficult time of her life.
