Angelo, I'll record my songs in the next day or so and post them.

Are you going to keep a list of all the performance links in the first post so we can easily find all the submissions in one place?.

Since you have the first post, you could edit it and start the list of submission at the bottom. You will have to update the list on a daily or so basis but that should not be to bad.

I'm eagerly awaiting to see what rolls in performance wise.

This song is reported (by Wikipedia) to be one of Paul McCartney and George Martin's favorite Beatles songs. I don't know if that is true or not but I like it.

I saw the thread today, Oh Boy..... smile

I will submit "Long and Winding Road" soon, although I'm sure there are better versions out there.

Also, I will listen to the already-posted recordings as soon as I get a block of quiet time! (a rare event lately)

Edit: I just listened to all who have posted so far: wonderful job!! I thoroughly enjoyed every one! Angelo, that is a lovely version of HCTS, and Monster: what do you mean "it needs to be re-recorded, been awhile?" It was terrific! smile

Bill: Loved your version of HT&E- it's also one of my favorites. I haven't attempted it on piano as of yet but I might give it a go.

Mr. S-H: You have an amazing talent! I wish I could improvise and play from my head like that. The quality of your recording was excellent too, and it was so nice to listen to over morning coffee. Great job! smile

Okay, I was'nt quite ready to submit this yet as not a lot of practice went into it but here is my improvised "cover" of Paul Mcartneys "Maybe I'm Amazed".

It was a little tough to replicate the vocals with notes as I have'nt really done that much so don't expect too much.

No music, just made it up.

Thanks to all for your interest. I made some edits on my first post so that all submissions will be able to be listened to on that first post.

Thanks to Mr. Super Hunky for his tech guidance!

Thanks again to all three present contibuters, all future contributers, and all listeners!

I heard something the other day on the radio--something I never dreamed of. It was the John Rutter concerto for two pianos and orchestra, based on Beatles songs. Quite good.

Just a few comments:

b528nf7: G O R G E O U S !!!! This is what music is all about... What else can I say? I had my two young daughters watch the ending bit, and that "twist" of yours needs to be patented!

Monster (M&H): Very, very nice!!!! It captures the mood of the original.

Super-Hunky: I love the fact that you owned that song. Awesome creativity!

Mahlzeit: Beautiful rendition ! It sounds so great. Nice and pensive.

Thanks,
angelojf

Angelojf - Thanks for the kind words. I've enjoyed listening to the other Beatle thread submissions.

Since no one has added any new songs in the last couple of days I thought I'd add another.

This is a cover of the great 1965 Beatles song. According to the Guinness Book of Records, this song has been recorded more than any song ever written. I thought I'd add one more.

Yesterday

Awesome!

Two entries of some of the most sad Beatles songs ever!

Yesterday: Great, Bill! Keep on sending in those entries. Cool middle solo!

Fo No One: Kentm, that was phenomenal. What a great version. Send some more!

Serge 88: Yea, I started it early! Looking forward to your entry or entries.

kentm - - Very nice playing, singing and arranging!! Did you record each instrument (DP voice) separately and then mix them with you vocal track? I have no idea how you combined all of those tracks but the end result is very good!

Thanks for the kind words...

I recorded that about six years ago with SONAR software...just compiled the tracks one at a time.

Glad you enjoyed it.
