I'm looking for a midi to know what it sounds like, but I can't find it at "Classical Music Archives." What am I doing wrong?

Cindy, I did a search on Amazon and found something called Arioso, but it was attributed to JS Bach. I played the recording(for guitar) and it really sounded nice. I could not find any recordings of Scarletti's Arioso, sorry..

"Arioso" doesn't sound like a title, it sounds like a musical direction: in Italian it means "songlike".

is that K32 piece? it can be found at classicalmusicarchive site. Scarlatti sonatas are numbered by K's or L's and some do have nicknames. maybe you have to know the K or L number to find the piece.

when one says just "arioso", it referes only to jsb's largo from concerto for harpsichord in f minor (BWV-1056) which bach transcribed for the concerto for oboe in d minor, the adagio in that piece. (BWV-1059).

i think the term is just a fancy name for air, or aria, and in that respect, it can be any number of works, i would not know which of scarlatti.

but always, the "arioso" is bach's.
