Hi everybody. I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. Something is up with my PW account. I clicked on view recent posts. I found 2 posts that i did not post. When i clicked on the post link, i found that I had not posted in that forum at all. BDB and Jeanne W had posted.

It was in these 2 topics:
Why aren't many great pianists well recognized?
"The Lark" Glinka's or Balakirev's Composition?

In the recent posts page, it says i was the first to post in both... but im not. Is this wierd or what?

Did this happen to anyone else?

Not yet, but I'll certainy watch out. I have noticed one odd thing and this has been going on for some time. When I click on a thread and then go hit back to return to the main forum sometimes I'm taken further back than the current threads. It's almost like the forum is in a time warp that only goes a couple of days backwards. When this happens I usually close the forum and come back in from the link on my desktop.

Slow down and do it right.

hit the print screen button which is located somewhere above the arrow keys. Then open a word document and paste. Drag this onto the desktop and upload it using photo bucket.

As an aside, you can limit the screen shot to just the currently active window by holding down the <Alt> key when you press <Print Screen>.

It's probably the cache on your browser doing whacky things. Click on "Tools", then click "Internet Options" and then "Clear Cache" or "Clear Browsing History". Shut down your browser and restart. Everything should be fine after that.

Derek: Nope. Those 2 posts that I didn't even write are still regestered as me posting them in my recent posts.

Hmmmmm, weird. PW thinks you are Jeanne W. or BDB. It could be worse!

That is weird. I don't have the foggiest why that is happening. Send a PM to Frank and tell him to read this thread... Bob Muir might know what's going on, too.

Actually, I didn't even know that "view recent posts" function existed.

Nope. There must be a bug in the script.

I can try running maintenance on the scripts, but that requires closing the forums while they run.

I need to find a time when it isn't too busy here.

This happens to me all the time. I just hit the refresh button and it straightens itself out.

As far as Debussy's question, I don't know, but that is weird!

Yes. That's normal behavior for your browser. When you click on the back arrow, it reverts to its cached information. While one would think the cache would get updated with the information that you just saw, it frequently doesn't. What I do is click on the previous level at the top of the page to take me back there.

After hitting "Print Screen", I open Paint and hit Edit, then Paste, and there it is.

"Paint" allows you to do all sorts of things with it.
