Continuing on from where I left off: 25) Laura D: What fun! Not only a Polka, but a duet (trio) also. I love playing duets. There's almost nothing more fun than Dvorak's Slavonic Dances. And most aren't that hard either. You certainly kept an even beat, which is vitally important when playing duets. 26) Jazzyprof: You play the Liebestraum No.3 very nicely. This wonderful piece is filled with technical difficulties. Not just the two big runs, but how about those left hand arpeggios in the middle section? It takes a great touch to be able to play the melody and accompaniment both in the right hand. You do it beautifully. I think this piece really reflects the spirit of the always generous and big-hearted Liszt, as much of his music does. 27) Daria: It certainly doesn't sound like your fingers are giving you any trouble in this piece. You play it very beautifully and with such wonderful expression. I didn't notice any problems at all. If you're feeling nervous recording yourself, I highly recommend that you record all of your playing every day. Soon you won't even notice that the Zoom is on. Really. I love snow also, but after reading about upstate New York getting about 137 inches in 7 days, all I can say is that's about 127 inches too much. 28) TX-Dennis: Very nice jazzy playing. It amazes me when I hear people improvising, as you do. And what a great ending! 29) Nighteyes: I'm always so impressed listening to you play. Only 7 months back, and 1.5 years as a kid. Just incredible playing for so short a time. You have good technical skills, and your playing is filled with expression and feelings. The third Minuet sounds pretty hard. I wouldn't have even noticed that slight stumble if you hadn't pointed it out. You did a wonderful job! 30) Piano again: The tempo you chose for the first section is excellent, I feel. Too slow and it really drags. My favorite part is the turbulent middle section and the ending. Very well played, especially the delicate run. 31) Triryche: For playing only nine months, most of that time on theory, you did a great job. You keep a really steady beat, which is so important. And you nailed those triplets! I feel it's a special treat to hear really new pianists playing in the Recital. I'm so glad you joined us. 32) mahlzeit: Very nicely played, with great expression. I'm curious why you chose to transpose this Nocturne. I think for me, a minor would have a slightly brighter feel to it than g minor. Oh, and I agree with you; sometimes you really have to disregard the composers expression markings. 33) Peyton: One of Schumann's most beautiful miniatures. And no one here to tell us that this a "movement" and not a "piece", thank God. You play it so beautifully, with such tenderness and devotion. A little piece of joy in half a page, plus a repeat. 34) LisztAddict: Frank doesn't allow username changes, but ResidentGenius would fit you to a tee. This is just plain gorgeous playing; such depth of feeling and wonderful technical skills. The eveness of your runs is stunning! 35) Mary-Rose: Well it takes real courage to play in front of a blazing red dot for 7:42 for your first recital. You play very beautifully with a wonderful sensitive touch. And your piano sounds absolutely terrific! 36) Sarah M: You don't seem to recognize how astonishingly beautiful your playing is. This is a very difficult piece, and you play it as well as I've ever heard it played. It demands a tremendous amount of dexterity from the weakest fingers. This was a completely professional performance. 37) Ishmael: Very nice playing. Beautifully done! 38) IrishMak: You play this beautiful spiritual with a lot of feeling. Great job! I love spirituals, too. My favorite is "Soon I Will Be Done A Wit Da Troubles of Da World", but it's hard to see how to fit it into a Valentines Day theme. 39) Bluemarine: What a beautiful piece of music, and you play it so dramatically. It's a great pleasure to listen to you play and a special treat to hear unfamiliar repertoire that's so gorgeous. 40) Schubertian: For only 4 months back, this is just amazing playing of the wonderful E flat Nocturne. How did you get such a confident touch in so short a time? There's a very nice energy to your playing, with an impressive burst of power. Beautifully done! 41) NancyM333: Well you definitely take first prize for the most jazzy playing. Very well done. Your enthusiasm is infectious! 42) Debussy20: Oh, you learned it in an hour? Well when I was 13, I learned the Fantasie Impromptu in an hour. Well, maybe it was only the first four measures. Actually, you did a beautiful job with this Prelude. You have a very nice, sensitive touch, and you play with feeling. Great job! 43) C7 Player: Two months back? This is pretty terrific playing for so short a time. Very will done! 44) DragonPianoPlayer: Great job for six months back. I can really feel your enthusiasm for the piano. Great energy! 45) AQP_87: Another one of our boy geniuses! Absolutely amazing playing in only 16 months. You are certainly blessed with wonderful talent and the self discipline to practice. This is one of those pieces where the rhythm can really drive you crazy. You do an absolutely wonderful job with this Etude. Such delicate, sensitive playing! Thanks to everyone! Mel

Adding another one:
TX-Dennis: Yours is the first thing I listened to this morning, and what a wonderful way to start the day! I really liked how jazzy you played while playing so delicately. Great job.

Thanks, Mel. Originally posted by dannylux: I'm curious why you chose to transpose this Nocturne. I think for me, a minor would have a slightly brighter feel to it than g minor. Because I know how to "think" in A minor but not in G minor. Knowing how to think in a certain key, i.e. which chords go with which melody tones, really helps with playing a piece, even if you're playing from sheet music and not by ear. You're right that different keys sound different (at least higher or lower), but the easier I can make it on myself, the better.

Continued from previous post....
First a couple that I couldn't download previously
Monica Kern - I've got to say when I saw this was over 9 minutes long I thought to myself - "well, I'll listen to a couple minutes of it and move on". I found myself so captivated by your playing that I was totally shocked when it came to an end so soon !!! I'm so impressed by your playing of this piece I just can't say enough about it. Thank you very much for this performance.
Craig137 (Craig Demetz) - That does not sound like an easy piece, but I thought you did great with it. Nicely done !!!
And now picking up where I left off...
Laura D - what a fun piece. nicely played
Jazzyprof - great selection for this recital. I don't know much classical music so this tempo sounded perfect to me. In fact it seems like any faster and it wouldn't be quite a beautiful. Very nicely played.
mdp1w (Daria) - wonderful Daria. I don't hear all the "flubs" you mention. It's amazing how almost everyone thinks their performance has all kinds of flaws when to the listener they sound wonderful (IMHO). You should be very proud of this performance, I really enjoyed this.
TX-Dennis (Dennis Turner) - what a great feel you created with this rendition. Very relaxed with just the right bit of swing, plus some very nice tasty licks all throughout. Great playing Dennis, very enjoyable
Nighteyes - I don't know the pieces you played, but they sounded great. They do not sound easy to play and you did a great job with them.
Piano again - Very nice playing. I don't know much about classical music but I've come to know this piece from the ABF and I have to say you did a wonderful job playing this.
Triryche - for just 9 months, most of which was theory, that was very well played. Smooth, clean, no hesitations, very nicely done !
mahlzeit - Excellent selection. A very beautiful piece which you played with great feeling and emotion. Well done Matthijs (and from sheet music!!!)
Peyton - I enjoy everything you play so much, and this was no different. I love the way you get the right hand melody to really sing out above the left hand, just gorgeous.
LisztAddict - Wow, that was just incredible ! I don't know what else to say, it was perfect. Amazing playing.
Mary-Rose - what a great touch you have. That was played sweetly and delicately, just perfect for the piece. It's hard to believe you've only been back playing for a few months. I can't imagine how good you were before the 30 year layoff. I for one am very happy you decided to start playing again.
Sarah M - Are you kidding me ? You're a pro. I feel like I owe somebody money for the privilege of listening to that performance. I'm not a fan of classical music and I think this is my favorite performance of this recital. You are truly a wonderful musician.
Ishmael - Very nicely played. It's hard to believe you've only been playing 10 months, you've really made an incredible amount of progress. I'm jealous...
Mary Alice Kropp (IrishMak) - Well played, and a great version of the song.
Bluemarine - What a grand majestic sound you created ! Great playing.
Schubertian - Another great performance. Wow, I'm stunned at how good so many people here are. Absolutely wonderful playing Schubertrian.
NancyM333 - What a great change of pace. This sounds like just a big barrel of fun, well done !!!
Debussy20 (AKA: Matt) - Well played Matt. Hard to believe you did that in such a short time, excellent work !!!
C7 Player Greg Smith - Always a fun piece to hear, and you played it well. Good job !!
DragonPianoPlayer / Rich Meredith - Nicely done. It sounded great, and once you add a bit more dynamic changes it will really sing. Well played !!!
AQP_87 (Ãlvaro Quiles Pomares) - Wonderfully played, and a great selection. I'll tell you, with all of these incredible performances of classical pieces you all might just make a classical fan out of me yet.

Is she the one who wore that swan outfit to the Grammys one year?), but this is a beautiful piece and you do a great job with it. I can't imagine how you'd play if you weren't on the road so much, but I'd love to find out! Nancy - THANKS!!! While I was a high school sports participant, I also spent most of college waiting to graduate and smoking plenty of "not-tobbacco". Now that I'm out of school I am more in my element and feel very free to pursue whatever whims I feel. The business travel is an unfortunate side-effect of my career ambitions. On top of that, my partner lives in Okla City while I'm in Austin, so we frequently travel to spend time together. I am thinking of buying a digital piano for his house just so I can practice up there! Seriously, thanks for the kind words. I feel my progress is due to brute force, not necessarily prodigious talent. I simply keep trying until it works. I am flattered by your compliment. Thanks so much for making my Sunday!

Ok, I've gone back and was able to hear the ones I couldn't access earlier.
Sandy Moore - That was beautiful, magical sounding playing! Congratulations on taking it on. I'm glad to hear it wasn't too bad once you decided to tackle it. You played it very well - it was even and smooth and I would have never guessed you ever felt daunted by the piece. You definitely mastered it.
Craig - You play with a lot of energy, I love it. I think I heard hints of the symphony 5 theme in there too, although that might just be my imagination. And some nice improvisation at the end. You are quite a versatile and talented musician.
My comments on all other performances are on page 2 of this thread if anyone missed them.
A big thanks to everyone who took the time to comment. Thanks DeepElem, Dannylux, Sandy Moore, Lisztener, Funburger, Monica, Kawaigirl, Babs1, txdennis, Daria, Nancy, AdagioM, IrishMak, Damz, AJB, Seaside Lee, Mary Rose, Piano Again. I hope I did not miss anyone. I read them all and I was touched by the comments.
Edit: Additional thanks to Shimmer and Super-hunky for the generous comments!

Here's a few more as I work my way through the oldtimers to the recital: AdagioM: I've liked every single one of your recital submissions. I wasn't familiar with this Copeland piece, and I found it to be different than his usual style, very slow and peaceful. Thanks for introducing me to it! Seaside Lee: I'm running out of superlatives to describe your playing, Lee, and when I think that you're doing this all BY EAR it blows my mind. I really liked the ending, by the way. loveschopintoomuch: I've been intrigued by this piece ever since I read Noah Adams's "Piano Lessons", and I even downloaded the sheet music (took one look at it, laughed, and put it away on my "tackle in 5 years" shelf). You did a wonderful job of playing this with emotion. LuigiV: Very polished performance! I thought the three worked well as a medley. My favorite was the first one; it had a beautiful melody and you did a wonderful job with the dynamics. However, I can't leave without saying one word: boxnet! It was a labor of epic proportions downloading your clip from savefile. copper: I don't care what anybody says, I love "Fur Elise," and I'm glad you played it. I was impressed by how seamlessly you moved between the sections, and the last movement with all those dark chords was beautiful. peter: I'm not at all familiar with Scarlatti's work, but I find this piece to be almost new age-ish in style (which of course means I liked it a lot ). Very nicely played! Sandy Moore: The Little Mermaid legend has always held a heart-breaking appeal to me, and you capture well in this piece the innocence and happiness of falling in love without realizing what the consequences will be. It sounded pretty challenging to me... I bet the right hand fingering was difficult.

Finally…I can spend the day at a “concert.†I haven’t read what others have commented about each recital piece. So any resemblance to previous statements is purely coincidental. Kawaigirl; What I wouldn’t give to have your control! Your legato is perfect. Such power and yet so smoothly played. Your left hand never faltered. A truly haunted piece and you played it as if you wrote it. Liszter: The first time I heard this piece, I cried. I know I am a weepy person when it comes to music, but this one is more than a tear-jerker. Your love for Liszt shines through with the unbelievable evenness of your left hand, gentle phrasing and deep rooted but ever so consuming emotion he so obviously created in this beautiful composition. Your playing was inspired, perfect, just as I believe he would have meant it to be. I could listen to it over and over. Thank you. Michele (AdagioM) Michele: I’ll be honest with you and say Copeland is not one of my favorite composers, and I don’t know why. I know he and his music are considered “American†… the old West (Bonanza-type). It does have a simple and elegant quality to it. Maybe I am so used to the big sound of the Romantic composers. I have to work on being more open-minded. Now for your playing… it was lovely. It projected that “American†simplicity and implied strength. Your tones were so clear and precise. I enjoyed your performance very much and am glad you resurrected it. {Seaside_Lee} There ISN’T a more poignant and lovely piece than this. Your father will be so moved, as was I. You won’t believe that I am also learning this song, along with another AB. I just loved your arrangement; you play with such ease and confidence. Even the second half--the swinging section was fun to listen to. You’re a kind son and a wonderful artist. LuigiV (Luigi) Gosh, it took almost 5 minutes for your piece to dowload, and for a while, I thought it wouldn’t. I AM SO GLAD IT DID! How very lovely you play. Your touch is so light and gentle, bringing out Schumann’s bright and sweet melody. Hearing you play touched my heart also. It was as perfect as it could get. Mr Super-Hunky: Well, SH…my comments are TOTALLY positive!! First of all, you are to be congratulated simply for willing to perform for over 5 minutes. A medal for that. But what a super performance. I know I keep saying how great everyone’s legato is. But I mean it, and in your case, it made the piece flow and ebb. I will be humming it all day, I know. Thank you…be proud of yourself. Monica Kern Monica: I can certainly understand how this piece persuaded you to the piano. It is so exquisite. What can I say about your playing that I haven’t before. You definitely have a special feel for this type of music. You can express the subtle differences so wonderfully, and that’s what it takes with a composition like this. Your fingers seems to roll over the keyboard without any effort. I also congratulate you for your courage with the red dot for 9+ minutes. I so loved listening to you play. When I grow up, I hope I can play like you. I will NEVER forget your “Overcome.†I still hope to conquer it, one day. Copper Hurray for you, Copper! You brought back an old favorite. I really did like the tempo you used, as I always thought it was played too fast. Although I know it could go a bit quicker, which I am sure you will accomplish over time. I thought I could hear some real love for this piece emanating from the keyboard. Those wrong notes are nothing to worry about. They added a little charm to your playing. Really! If I remember correctly, Fur Elise is a level 3 composition, so consider yourself ahead of the game. Good for you for submitting something that wasn’t perfect. I was beginning to think I was in the Pianist Corner. No offense to you, Copper, and all…you know what I mean. I actually smiled while listening, Copper, for I had the same piece after about 2 years. It brought back some great memories. Thank you. Joemoshi I don’t know how to tango, but after listening to your great playing, I sure wish I did. What a perfect song for Valentine’s Day…it was just great. I don’t know what else to say, so professional, smooth and classy. WOW! Peter: What a wonderfully elegant, classical piece. I’ve never listened to any Scarlatti before, so I can’t really give you any helpful suggestions. I thought you had a real feel for the music, perhaps the tempo (around the 2/3) mark might be a little more even (but what do I know). I think that with just a little more practice, you will feel more at ease with it. It really is tricky-sounding. I didn’t hear any wrong notes and that’s a big achievement with music like this. Good work and good for you! Ragnhild: You certainly don’t have to give us 5 good reasons for playing this wonderful piece. One is enough…it is stunning. Now you have to tell me that it was really Chopin and not Bach. Just kidding (it’s an inside joke). Really, Ragnhild…you played so beautifully. I could hear the “voices†in perfect counter point. Tender and compassionate…it is quite apparent how much you love him (Bach) that is. Thank you so much. As soon as I conquered the 55.1 (whenever that will be), I WILL open my Bach beginner book! Vincentime Only 1 year of lessons…?? It sounded perfect to me. Bach seems to be the MAN and why not! Your playing was crisp, confident and your tempo, perfect. Excellent performance…be proud. Mel: Where am I? Is all that white stuff clouds? Am I in heaven? Oh, no. It’s just snow. You hoped we “liked it How about “we were dazzled†by it. You play with such passion (just like Chopin, perhaps, when he was 19). I thought the tempo was perfect, and your technique (Hanon, I suppose) was sublime! You have the touch for Chopin, you know that, I’m sure. Just glorious. Thank you. Funky_Fred: One of the reasons I love the piano is because it is capable of producing sound…music, just as you played it. Fred, I got the shivers right in the middle, when you changed off and went into “Yesterday.†Wow, what talent you have. What a joy and pleasure it was to listen to you. I wish I could play just one-tenth as well. The Beatle music NEVER sounded so good! Sandy Moore You gave your piece such a dream-like quality. It was lovely. And I can certainly tell that it is a lot more difficult to play than it sounded. Quite charming and so perfectly played with just the right phrasing and tempo. Glad you decided to give it a try. And I agree that I love it when a piece looks too difficult and then a few months later, seems doable and even possible to play well, as you did, quite very well, indeed. (HouseHead78) John: If ever any music ever painted a picture or told a story, your playing of this piece did.. I normally don’t imagine anything happening when I listen to music, but I couldn’t help but “seeing†a lonely, young woman…alone and forgotten, love lost or never obtained. I think this is the greatest compliment I can pay you. Excellent in every way possible. Thank you for this wonderful story. **************** It's taken me half a day, just to get to the first 15 or so. I really am enjoying myself...thanks to you all. But I have to stop for the day and make dinner and all that other boring stuff. More later Kathleen

01. Kawaigirl1 What an experience! I’ve never heard anything by Philip Glass before, so after this I’ll find out more about him. This is almost frightfully mysterious and beautiful as well. You have done a fabulous job of creating the mood with your excellent play. Your dynamics and touch are admirable. Thank you for scaring…er sharing.
02. Lisztener (For my records and to keep the numbered list in order.)
03. Michele (AdagioM) I’m not familiar with Copland’s piano works, but you sure are. This performance is beautiful. Your experience makes it so. Thank you for your presentation.
04. Seaside_lee This was my sister’s favorite and I’m learning a scored version. I enjoy your delicate melody. You bring on a flood of reflection with your beautiful improvisation. Well done and thank you.
05. loveschopintoomuch.....kathleen I remember when Vladimir Horowitz returned to Russia in the ‘80s and PBS TV did a special telecast. I watched him perform and believe this was his last encore piece of the program. After hearing him play, I learned it. I’ll have to get it back up to speed. You have an excellent interpretation. Your tempo and dynamics are precisely as I believe they should sound. I must relearn this piece. Thank you for the added history and for playing this beautiful little gem.
06. LuigiV (Luigi) Your play is so delicate that it makes me feel like the music is a part of me. It is very comforting. You play beautiful music straight from your heart. Thank you for touching my heart as well.
07. Mr Super-Hunky I’ve heard you play before but never like this, Hunk. This has to be your best effort ever. You have found a musical genre that has wrapped around your heart. It sounds as though something supernatural took hold of you and guided your fingers over the keyboard. Congratulations on an inspired performance and thank you for sharing it.
08. Monica Kern You must have a very deep feeling of satisfaction after this fantastic performance. To achieve a major milestone like this is about as much as one can ask. I’m happy for you, dear lady. Think of the body of work that you have accumulated and that you now have the resources to share with your posterity. This day and age has its problems, for sure, but moments of joy like this make life wonderful. You continually improve, but I don’t know how you can surpass this. Thank you for sharing your heart and soul through your music. I am deeply touched.
09. Copper There has been much written about Beethoven’s temper and moodiness. It’s a joy to know that beneath his outbursts he could dream of and compose music of such soul-wrenching beauty. You hear things in your play that escapes me. I hear a well-played classic that is not ridiculed but praised by those who admire the genius who wrote it. Thank you for sharing.
10. joemoshi Over the years, I’ve heard this song many times without knowing the title. Ballroom dancing is all the rage, now, on TV. If this tango hasn’t been used, it should be. I can see the dancers gliding across the floor as I listen. Beautiful playing! Thank you.
11. Peter This Sonata has a delicate and beautiful melody. This is the first time I’ve heard it and after hearing you play, yours will be the standard from which I’ll judge any other rendition. Your execution is beautiful, even with the recording problems. Thank you for sharing.
12. Ragnhild You may not wish to admit it, but it sounds to me as though you put much feeling into this piece. I’m not particularly fond of Bach’s piano works (shame on me), but your delicate and sensitive play highlights a beautiful melody. I need to look deeper than Glen Gould to get away from the constant trills from now on. Thank you for this delightful music.

A few more before heading off to sleep... ragnhild: Very nice! I wasn't familiar with this piece, but it is more melodic and slower than what I am used to thinking of with respect to Bach. I especially liked the lower bass part toward the end. dannylux: Wow! How could you play all those notes so fast and flawlessly? I'm banishing you to the "Adult Just About Ready to be a Concert Pianist" forum along with Sarah M. I don't believe you for a second, though, that this piece is "not as hard as it sounds." Congratulations on an outstanding performance. Serge88: This is one of Elton John's sweetest songs, and you play it well. I'm particularly impressed that you were able to improvise it. It didn't sound simplified to me, btw! Very nice. Mike White: That "Adult Almost Concert Pianist" forum is getting crowded. I wish I knew classical music so I could offer better comments on it, but all I can say is that your rendition sounded just like the ones on my Chopin CDs. Those trills just flew off your fingers. Laura D: This gets my vote for the "most fun" piece of the recital, edging out the tango. And I'm especially jealous you got your family to play with you. I have been nagging my daughter mercilessly to play a piano-flute duet with me, and she'll practice for 5 minutes, grumbling under her breath the whole time.

Oh my, you all really don’t know how much your positive words of encouragement mean to me. It was so enjoyable to create a template with everyone’s names then sit, listen and key in my “reaction†of each performance.
My cyber-buddies: maryrose, Piano again, Seaside Lee, TX-Dennis (thanks for the IE tip so I could listen to Sandy and Ishmael), mr super hunky, Sarah M, AdagioM, Babs1, IrishMak, funberger, Lisztener, Monica Kern, Kawaigirl1, Sandy Moore, Dannylux (great Zoom tip), DeepElem, Bob Muir (how did you DO this AGAIN?), Copper (I LOVE the map & stats) – thank you all for being so kind.
What an experience my first recital continues to be!! The online recital is a brilliant concept -- it provided me with enough pressure to stop piddling around with a lot of songs and instead focus on playing one well.
There is SO much TALENT and GUTS on this forum that it was difficult mustering up the courage to post my playing. No one EVER hears me play – except my dog. Don’t laugh, but I just started to copy & paste the “mdp1w†comments and advice so that I could print them out and place them next to my piano. Your words of support will serve as a “cyber blankie†when I get discouraged!

Thanks to everyone who complimented my recording. I really appreciate it.
I'd also like to compliment you all on your ability to write cogent comments; I wish I could do the same (if you want to read what I did write, it's in the "Critical Discussion" thread).

(page 4 of 4 pages) The last page of my comments:
13. Vincentime I disagree when you say, “Not very good†and I don’t hear the mistakes you hear. Given that you’re just resuming play, I believe you’re doing just fine. It’s a little quick on the tempo but good technique and dynamics. Thank you. I wish you future success.
14. dannylux (Mel) Wow, you have this one polished to a high sheen. To play with such speed and take care to highlight the beautiful melody and dynamic range is enviable. Those trills in the left hand are amazing. You are a virtuoso if ever I’ve heard one. Thank you for sharing this difficult yet uplifting piece. It is magnificent.
15. Euclid10540 aka Funky_Fred If I put 10$ in the tip glass will you take a couple of requests? Man, this mellow music flows like honey. Add a base and sax and the “Funky Fred Trio†could fill a lounge or restaurant. You have a nice relaxing sound. Thank you.
16. Sandy Moore My inner child is enchanted by this dreamy music that lets me fly on a magic carpet to a world of fantasy. You play it just right. Thank you for taking me on this flight of fancy. Beautifully played! I’ll visit this world you have created many more times.
17. Jon Gray (HouseHead78) My wife and I adore Enya and you have captured her voice on your piano. What a lovely ballad your piano sings for you. I enjoy the delicacy of your touch that sounds so sad and pensive. You play better than your experience would otherwise indicate. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.
18. craig137 Craig Somewhere in the audible fog of reverb, I believe there is dedicated and talented pianist. If the cause of this distortion is your recording method, then post this piece again in the monthly Piano Bar after changing your setup. Your play is ambitious and thanks for sharing this difficult piece.
19. Ozor Mox I haven’t heard the piece before but I agree that it’s played too fast. There are places where I detect a sensitive touch. I’d like to hear more of your play in the forums to really appreciate it more. You definitely have good technique. Thank you for sharing.
20. Stephenc This is really romantic and soothing. You have a delicate touch that is just right for mood music; very smooth, soft and relaxing. I’m eager to hear more of your play. Thank you for sharing your beautiful music.
21. DeepElem (Buck) I think you must have a bad memory like me, or this is eight months experience on this particular keyboard. Whatever, the great pop standards and classical are my favorites. You timing and touch are super. Yours is romantic music the way I like it. Thank you for sharing this beauty.
22. Euan Morrison The hits keep coming! What a beautiful piece you are playing and such a beautiful sound you make. Unless you are a neglected child prodigy, I don’t understand how you can play at this level of musicality after only fifteen months. Nonetheless, you have much talent of which to be very proud. This is a beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing.

I've been busy with work and sick children so have only just had a chance to start listening. Dennis: I went to you first because you know I have a soft spot for your playing As always, you transported me for a little while. I smile a bit, my face softens and I forget that I'm sitting in front of the harsh glare of a computer screen. Lovely Sarah M: OH my GOD! I have never heard this before but have heard it mentioned on many threads. I knew it must have been incredibly technically demanding so I wasn't expecting it to be so beautiful. I really felt if physically in some parts. You know when you hear an opera singer hit a note and your whole body just seems to pulse? Well that's what happened to me during your recital. I loved it. Monica: I'm so disappointed that I can never open any of your files. The screen just hangs on trying to access the site. Does anyone else have that problem? Any tips on how to get around it? Mahlzeit: I'm a sucker for 'pretty' pieces and that was just beautiful and a great quality recording too Euan: I hope I can play half as well as that at 15 months! That was really moving. I really enjoyed it. Ragnhild: Wow! I loved that. It conjured up all sorts of imagery for me. I don't how to explain it other than I felt it visually as well as aurally. I thought you played it beautifully. I hope to get time to hear some others tomorrow. I can't believe this is the adult beginners forum. Everyone I've heard so far sounds so professional!

I must thank you for introducing me the Nevue music. I really appreciate it. Well, as for your comment about my playing, I think, it is humble at best. Thanks for the encouraging words anyway. I'm looking forward to listening your piece. Originally posted by kawaigirl1:: I know you didn't want feedback, but I just had to tell you that your performance was very enjoyable. Thank you for your kind words. I'll listen to your recording today, judging from the previous recordings of yours, it must be great. Originally posted by RonP: Don't get discouraged by seeing people like Ishmael at 10 months on piano, playing like he does. Highly likely this isn't his only music experience. Thank you Ishmael. I enjoyed it. I think, I have to admit that it was not easy to record this piece. I had to try many many times and I still couldn't manage to record it in one take. So, I recorded the three sections separately and then connected them later. I'm not sure you have a piece in this recital, but I'll listen to it as soon as possible if you do. Originally posted by dannylux: Very nice playing. Beautifully done! I love you guys. Originally posted by DeepElem: Very nicely played. It's hard to believe you've only been playing 10 months, you've really made an incredible amount of progress. I'm jealous.. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Originally posted by TX-Dennis: Ten months? Liar! This is not a piece for a beginner of ten months. Seriously, you played it extremely well. Great job! By the way, what jump at the end of the recording? Sounded fabulous to me. Thanks for the nice comments. Everybody says great things about your piece, I'm looking forward to listening to it.

Try right clicking the link and chose "save target as" which will download it to your pc, then play it from your pc and enjoy!

Page 3 continued............................ Matt Wow ! You only worked on this an hour! I am impressed. Oh to be young again! :p Cooper I loved it! You picked a wonderful piece. I think this is one of Beethhoven best works and I have always loved this song. I think you should keep on playing it and enjoying it! I still play it myself and enjoy it. Ishmael: I love this song! Great job. I tried this song and I put it aside because it about killed my hands so I know its not as easy as it looks. IrishMak What a nice folksy tune! I enjoyed hearing it on your treasured M&H! Craig Did you say that you have a cheap old upright? Well I think it has a great sound with your superb playing! That was one hard piece you mastered! Well that is it for a while........till I listen to more, some of you I already listened to , this is page 3. TBC

I've posted the zip files, (finally), so if you want "normalized" and labled files for your play list, have at it.
