Oh, that was very nice and I love the avatar. Thank you Agilita. That's much more becoming than the grumpy old Wanted Lady but I'm kind of stuck with her after all this time.

thumb Awesome, hunky!

That and thousands other avatars are available all around the net! Anyone can use 'em. We're not limited to the just ones in the PianoWorld gallery (see mine!). Just input the image's URL into your avatar settings (Use Custom URL). If direct linking isn't allowed, you can copy them to a photo hosting site like superhunky does with Photobucket!

Well, I always wanted a pair of red heels.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. You usually won't see me online evenings or weekends. Our home computer lives in my teenage grandson's room so I don't get much access. smile

But, Kathy, isn't someone else using this avatar? I had "seen" you over in the Pianist forum but I thought that someone else was using it also.

But, you're right, we wouldn't want people confusing us. Folks would think you're a grandmother. laugh

Wow, this changed on all previous posts, too.

Mr. Super-Hunky: Your avatar made me do a double take the other day. I don't watch television so really didn't have any association for it. I was walking through our den and kids were watching TV and, there you were on the screen! You have your own show!

At least there'll be no one copying my avatar!

Carry a tune? Of course, as long as it's within my 3-note range.

Agilita, I hadn't noticed another person using it, but my visits have been sporadic of late. I guess I'll have to brace myself for another showdown. eek

Well, I've been here for six months. But I tend to stay in the ABF most of the time (intimidated by the folks over there), so probably why you didn't see me. I only noticed that someone else used the same avatar recently.

I've actually never participated in a forum before and not sure of the etiquette behind this. Because there are duplicates of some, aren't there? Aren't musdan and Piano_Dad the same? And dup apples? Hmmmmmm.

Hi Agilita,

Yes, there are duplicates, and there's no rule that says you can't use the same avatar as someone else(welll, except perhaps Kathy - she's special  wink ). Really, it's just good-natured ribbing on Kathy's part to kick up a little forum dust here since it's been relatively slow and not a lot of controversy going on.

If you want a little inside advice, if you really want to start a fight, say something like, "Rebuilt pianos are just as good as brand new pianos!" That'll bring 'em out of the woodwork!

wink

Why, thank you OT (I'll just ignore that rolly eyed guy). I was thinking that I might look good in the suit that the middle guy in yours is wearing. What d'ya think?

Funny thing is, you may think I'm being a bit of a prima dona about this avi thing, but you should have been around in the not so good old days when a couple of unnamed old timers spoke up about the "unauthorized" use of their avatars. They were downright incensed and probably consulting their lawyers. I entertained myself to no end by wearing their avatars briefly in some politically charged threads, espousing views totally antithetical to theirs. One particular fellow was not at all amused. laugh
