The PW community seems to have a way of sending positive vibes to those who need them..

My beloved teacher is having cancer surgery this morning. I will be thinking of her and trying, in vain, to concentrate on my practicing.

Maybe because I am an adult student, my teacher means so much and has enriched my life beyond my expectations. I love her.

If you are inclined, say a prayer, play a Chopin prelude, think good thoughts or wear a pink ribbon. I am hoping that all the good Karma will go her way today. Thanks

Here's a prayer of healing for your teacher.
May the One who was a source of blessing for our ancestors, bring blessings of healing upon Beelady's teacher, a healing of body and a healing of spirit. May those in whose care they are entrusted be gifted with wisdom and skill, and those who surround them be gifted with love and trust, openness and support in their care. And may they be healed along with all those who are in need. Blessed are You, Source of healing.
Amen
Jon

I'll keep her in my thoughts and play some lovely music with her in mind Beelady. My old teacher in San Diego had cancer too. I used to take her to treatments. She recovered. Let us know how she does.

Be Peace Upon Her ....

In Jesus name I pray . Amen

An apple a day keep the doctor away,
A smile a day chase your sadness away,
A chat a day drive all loneliness away,
And a prayer a day never keep our Jesus away
And let's praise our Lord, our King, our God all the way ....

I will do all of the above, for your teacher and for you. Let us know how she got along.

Well, all your energy and thoughts seemed to have worked very well!

My teacher just emailed me. She is home, feeling great just described it as feeling like she was punched. Her strongest med so far is Tylenol!

So already she wants to know what time I want my lesson next week! :p

She is determined to live a long and happy life and I hope that I can contribute even just a bit to that!

Thanks for all your good wishes...Now I guess I better get practicing!

Yay!! My mom is a breast cancer survivor... it definitely can be beaten, particularly if it's caught early. 20 years and still kicking for my mom... here's hoping the same and more for your teacher!

Wonderful!

All we can do is to enjoy the reminding of our life whatever how long it would be. Just spread love, generosity, peace and live with mindfulness.

Thanks all. Luckychwee, what is even more remarkable is that this is her second go round. She is already an 11 year survivor. Fortunately, the form she now has is the same. So the doc feels that since it took so long to return, she could have many more years again before it is an issue.

She truly is a remarkable woman in more ways than one... smile

Wow. It's for people like your teacher (and my grandmother and a couple friends) that my husband and I purchased the "LiveSTRONG" wrist bands. Actually, I think they now make pink ones for breast cancer. Cancer survivors are amazing. I have wondered if I would be as strong as the people in my life who are dealing with it...

Anyway, glad to hear she getting through this okay. Hope it has made you feel better, too.

BeeLady: I'm glad to hear that your teacher's doing okay! I just lost a family friend to breast cancer, it's not good. I'll make a spot in my prayers tonight for your teacher, to have a long and healthy life, and not have to go through cancer for a third time.
