I think it was Bach's first invention.

Greensleeves, from one of the Canadian books, I think the grade 5 or 6 one. It was a hard piece for a beginner, but I couldn't play the simple ones because I didn't know how they were supposed to sound. I managed to pull off the Greensleeves though. I was about 15 or so, and we had a player piano!

Not even 3 years. It's the most recent slice of my life, and I haven't learned that many pieces.

Mine was some really dumbed down waltz or dance type song. I don't remember the name but I think I still have the sheet somewhere.

I think it was either "Happy Birthday" or "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", it was too far back to remember laugh

My first piece was the "Theme from Romeo and Juliet". What made this memorable was I played this by ear after being subjected to listening to this on the radio for many years. And I fooled around with the octaves as well. I also played "Happy Birthday" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" mixing the treble and the bass registers. What joy! laugh
