Awhile back, you posted the "states," which was a way to get the rhythmic patterns for various note values... here's the original thread:

You mentioned checking back with your teacher in late August-early September. Just a reminder that I would be really interested in getting this, too! I was speaking with the choir director at my kids' school and she was really interested in this, since rhythm is one of the things the kids are struggling with.

PS: Here's what I've used for very basic rhythms (yes, it has a regional flavor).

Start kiddos just clapping in a steady rhythm, then say these words with each clap.

Chips (quarter note)
Salsa (eighth notes)
Enchilada (sixteenth notes)

For the life of me, I can't remember what we did for triplets, though!
