Regarding to Boira's post about her first anniversary of the very first piano lesson, on September 21st i will celebrate my 4th anniversary for my first piano lessons. it was while i was 24 years old, that was the first time my fingers had touched the piano. i started my lessons with my teacher Taziana Galochincko, i watched her playing a prelude for Rachmaninov, it was marvelous. i wished if i would play any virtuoso piano piece for Franz list or so.

until now i cannot imagine that i can play any piece of Liszt someday. By the way i can now play some sonata's for Mozart,and one for Beethoven (Pathetique). took up some Valses and Mazurkas for Chpoin.

till now i can feel some problems with my tempo, but my teacher is very professional so she can do more than needed to set it up. she tells me now that my tempo is very accurate with the pieces i have already finished, but with Chopin it still needs more practice.

this is the very first famous piece i played it took about 3 monthes to have comleted now you can listen to the first movement.

I was really joking, as often folks here get nervous when the dreaded question comes up. Play something for us!

Wow, that was truly impressive. I am almost to the 4-year mark and it would take me much longer to learn that piece than 3 months, and then it would still be full of mistakes, and not be as beautifully played. You must have a great teacher! How much time do you spend practicing?

That was wonderful. Only four years, eh? You've been working hard at this.

As you all know this is sonata No.16 for Mozart, and it's the easiest one for him. in fact i could play this piece after one year of my beginning, after i have finished with it i required from my teacher to play sonate No. 10 because it's more defficult than this one. she replied that it would be very challenging work, and i will feel lots of progress after i would finish with it. but i insisted on that, actually it took me six monthes to have finished with it.

after that i started to read sheet music with the same level more easily, and my finger started to move smoothely on piano.
