As of yesterday, I'm a proud owner of an Estonia 5'6. At first it was reverberating like crazy in my little room, but after hanging up some blankets and sheets, it just sounds amazing, just like in the store.
Thanks for everyone in the forum for helping me in my piano search. Thanks for good advices, info, etc. Now I got something that I'll hopefully be happy with for a long time.

Here it is
[Linked Image]

It has it's own room and gets played every spare minute. Now I'm neglecting everything else (work, chores), probably have to join Estonia anonymous :-)

And, yes, that's the one I fell in love with laugh

One question: On the bottom of the piano belly I noticed a small bag filled with what looks like cherry pits. Does anybody know what purpose those serve?

Way to go Pete!

I had the opportunity to play the 5'6 at the dealer from whom I just puchased my piano. Talk about a sweet tone!

If only I had room (and the budget) top purchase such an expressive instrument.

Enjoy!

I'm one of those minimoog fanatics. Since I was once writing a minimoog emulation software without owning one, I had to download all kinds of pictures of the internet. And one of those I just cut to an Avatar format. thumb

Alex,

it's slightly becoming off topic here (not that I mind laugh )
Go to my homepage to see my software minimoog and let me know what you think of it.

Well done .... Estonia grands do have great sounds.

Many congrats to you. thumb

I recalled the salesman in the store where I bought my piano indicated that the Estonia sounds like the Ferrari (lots of raw power)

p.s. BTW, did you try the Estonia 190 (I think -- the 6'4") and compared with yours?
