This is a 1930-1940 Bosendorfer that I have purchased. Interested to know if anyone has any information about the name on the fall board.

Appears to say: Pallik, Schuler V. above the Bosendorfer name. It is about 6’ and was owned most of its life by Valerie Klipsch, wife of Paul Klipsch.

Congratulations! What a beautiful piano! You can easily ask Bösendorfer and they are very very nice people and will respond. They have an archive providing details on every piano they have produced going back over 200 years. They provided a copy of the archive of my piano when I asked them. Make sure you include the serial number. I realize now you mention that is lost. Are you sure? You could ask them where to find it maybe. The archive will verify the year manufactured as well. They have never produced more than 300 pianos a year going back over 200 years!

on one of my visits to Bösendorfer I asked why some of their older models sometimes had people's names in addition to Bösendorfer and all they said was on occasion they allowed piano technicians / builders to include that. They don't do that now at a all.

I ju

FYI: When you don't use the ümlaut above the o, it is spelled Boesendorfer. German has more letters in their alphabet because of ümlauts and everything is spelled and pronounced phonetically.

Their contact information is on their website.

How does your beautiful piano sound?

Good luck to you!
